Who We ArePi Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity resides at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa in the Xi B Province. Sigma Alpha Iota's mission is "to encourage, nurture and support the art of music." Here at Drake, we strive to do just that through the music department located at the Harmon Fine Arts Center, all across Drake's campus, and throughout the Des Moines area. The members of Pi Chapter welcome you to our site!

Where It Began
On June 12, 1903, Sigma Alpha Iota was formed at the University School of Music in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Seven women came together and established our proud fraternity:
Under the state laws of Michigan, the incorporation papers were signed on December 1, 1904 and recorded on December 15, 1904
